"WINNING 4 TITLES IN A ROW IS AN AMAZING ACHIEVEMENT" - UNDER 14S BLACKS QUADRUPLE

It isn't the easy to win the league never mind four years in a row. Andrew Cartners Under 14s Blacks completed a gigantic task last season winning the league for four years in a row. The core of the team have been together since they were five years old and are still together now.

The first of the league titles came in their second season of seven a side football in 2019/20 season, winning the league by one point and finishing above nearest rivals who had defeated felling earlier in that season.

In 2020/21 season the team moved to nine a side football the coaches saw a massive improvement in the team from previous seasons with the team winning their first eight games. Unfortunately the season was interrupted by the Coronavirus Pandemic and football was stopped. After the break the team dipped in previous form losing their first three games back. However regained form and won all the remaining games in the season winning the league title for a second season in a row with the last game being a title decider against second place which resulted in felling winning 2-1 to win the league.

The 2021/22 season saw Cartners side in Division 4 in the Russell Foster league and the team improving again only losing one game in the whole league. The game they lost happened to be a 7-4 defeat to the team that would finish bottom of the league with this being their only win. This taught the team to never underestimate your opponents.

Then onto last season where the team found themselves in Division 3 and their fist season at 11 a side again it was a masterclass from the team only losing 2 games in the whole league. The team went on a 12 game winning streak and clinched the title on the second last game of the season winning 5-4 and getting their fourth piece of silverware in four years..

After speaking with Andrew Cartner he said "Winning four league titles in a row is an amazing achievement for the boys. They have worked very hard and are committed to improving season on season" He went on to talk about the future saying "We are in Division 2 for next season so the standard will increase. However, I have full confidence in the team to keep giving 100% in order to improve and keep being competitive. I believe we will have another successful season."
